Coopetition
Written for Megan McCann, CEO and Founder, McCann Partners
In most industries, the competition is viewed as an antagonist.
But those of us in the staffing industry who are committed to advancing DEIB are more interested in coopetition.
That's because we understand that making waves for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging can't be done alone.
In addition to education, enlightenment, and purpose, my commitment to DEIB has gifted me a community of professional peers who share my passions and struggles.
Recently, I was honored to host a few staffing leaders and my fellow DEIB warriors at my home to share our ideas, celebrate our successes, and strategize for the future.
And as I looked around the room at Kendra Cato, John J. Higginson, Christine Sandman Stone, Victoria Hill, Antonio Crosby, Brianna Dehaan, Megan Hinchy, Tonya Howell, Erin Pittman, Derrick V. Phillip II, and Jessica Koenes (Mitchell), I couldn't help but reflect on how lucky I am to not walk this path alone.
